Inspiration
I saw a need for this web application as the car market mainly the used car market is big in my country and sellers have a hard time finding buyers for their car and often end up selling their cars to middle men who end up paying them significantly less or end up marking up the value of the car to make profit.
What it does
Extensive Car Database: Browse through a vast collection of cars from various manufacturers and categories. Detailed Information: Find in-depth details about each car, including specifications, features, images, and user reviews. User Reviews: Read and write reviews to share your experiences with different cars. Search and Filter: Easily search for specific cars or use filters to narrow down your choices based on brand, model, price range, and more. User Accounts: Create an account to save your favorite cars, compare different models, and track your browsing history.
How we built it
The application was built using NextJS and typescript help in avoiding various errors
Challenges we ran into
Implementing interactive features like filtering, sorting, and car comparisons on the client side. Creating dynamic routes for different car models and handling nested routes for categories and brands. Ensuring good SEO practices, especially with dynamically loaded content.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating an intuitive and visually appealing user interface that makes it easy for visitors to navigate through the catalog and find relevant information about cars. Successfully integrating APIs or databases to dynamically fetch and display up-to-date information about car models, specifications, prices, and other details. Designing the website to be responsive, ensuring it functions seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes, including smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
