Inspiration
Car accidents along with heavy traffic are still common. In order to address this, we wanted to visualize the data for car accidents through user-reported inputs and find the safest routes between two destinations.
What it does
The user inputs location, description, and time of the car accident. These inputs are stored and display onto a log. Existing logged accidents can be deleted.
How we built it
We build this web application with React and we used Live Share on Visual Studio Code to work on the project together.
Challenges we ran into
It's all of our first time making a project in React so there was a lot for us to learn. There were also roadblocks such as not being able to input and store data correctly, and being able to render the map.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Although we haven't accomplished much in our project, we are able to learn a lot in just 24 hours. Whether that be exposure to new APIs or new frameworks, this hackathon really helped us improve our awareness of web development.
What we learned
We learned the basics of React
