Inspiration

I was inspired by the beautiful images of animals that Google's ImageFx, and Whisk were able to produce and generate fairly consistent animal profiles. So I had the idea of making a short documentary-like film about a chameleon, one of my favorite animals, where the narrator mimics what I grew up watching, nature documentaries but with a sarcastic twist, and introducing a little of comedy.

How I built it

I used RunwayML and Kling AI to generate the video animation, Eleven labs for the narration, Suno for the background music, and Google Image Fx and whisk for the image generation.

Challenges I ran into

I ran through the initial challenge of forming my prompts to say exactly what I wanted to happen in each scene. Many times my prompts were not clear or specific enough, therefore I took some time to get some scenes that take my prompt literally.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This was my first short AI film made in April of this year and I am so proud that I was able to create this conceptual story really opening the gates to a new passion, video creation something i had never been able to act upon but always dreamed about!

What I learned

I learned that I knew so little about AI video creation. I primarily stuck with using one tool for image generation and then one tool for video animation, but then realizing I needed to branch out and learn various tools, because there was so much more going on, new tools and new platforms.

What's next for Captured

Captured remains as an initial concept I could eventually expand into a longer short film giving the backstory of it all.
