Caption Clash

Inspiration

I know people love meme captions in social threads. I thought: "What if I automated this?" so I created Caption Clash.

What it does

Caption Clash delivers instant meme-caption duels against an AI judge. With just two taps, you get a meme, create a caption, receive a humor score.

How I built it

I rapidly assembled Caption Clash in under an hour, integrating the Random Meme API from API League for fresh content, a custom-built AI judging algorithm.

Challenges I ran into

Integrating multiple APIs quickly was tricky. Ensuring fair yet funny caption scores was another hurdle - but we made it happen fast.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Shipping a fully functional meme-game experience within just one hour was a rush. We're particularly proud of how seamless the experience feels despite the time crunch.

What I learned

Simplicity wins. Quick decisions and focused execution made it possible to deliver something surprisingly polished in such limited time.
