Inspiration
I've spent all my life at the intersection of art and technology, from programming to drawing and beyond. This film was inspired by the last years' developments in artificial intelligence, and specifically, AI alignment -- one of the most pressing issues of our times.
What it does
Capsules explores the relationship we have and will have to AI and robots -- as well as ourselves.
How we built it
The film was made with AI tools like Kling, Veo, and Midjourney. A lot of Photoshop and Premiere editing was involved. Udio was used for the music; ElevenLabs for the voices; SyncSo for lipsyncing. The screenplay was written manually, so to speak (with ChatGPT assisting on language questions as I'm not a native speaker).
Challenges we ran into
AI tools of today are fun challenge. They update fast, so you will want to adjust your learning fast. One of the biggest challenge is prompt adherence; another is lipsyncing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making a 50-minutes long movie requires time and energy; I'm happy to have found both.
What we learned
Using AI tools is enormous fun, and can expand your mind creatively.
What's next for Capsules
I'm currently already busy working on my next film -- another long-form one that plays in the near future. What a time to be alive!
