Inspiration
Millions of people have ideas but lack devices, storage, or stable internet. We wanted to give them a private, accessible way to share, refine, and elevate their ideas.
What it does
Capsera is a PWA where users create a private PIN account on a shared device, submit ideas via guided prompts, and get instant AI feedback + a rough score. Drafts are saved locally, and final submissions go to Supabase for review. Multilingual support (Arabic, French, Amharic, etc.) ensures inclusivity.
How we built it
- Frontend: Vanilla JS + JavaScript + PWA setup
- Backend: Supabase
- APIs: OpenAI for feedback & scoring, Google Translate for language support
Challenges we ran into
- Protecting environmental variables
- Choosing the right tech stack
- Managing PWA caching so updates show correctly
Accomplishments that we’re proud of
- Successfully integrated environmental variables
- Implemented founder and user feedback into the product
- Built a working PWA that meets privacy and accessibility needs
What we learned
- Sketching multiple designs helps teams innovate and identify missing features
- Don’t get attached to any MVP; feedback will transform it
- Prioritizing ideal customer needs over personal design preferences is crucial
What's next for Capsera
- Make Capsera fully offline for low-bandwidth users
- Gather beta tester feedback to improve or pivot the product
