Inspiration

We noticed that many people understand financial theory but struggle to apply it in real life. Most platforms teach what to do with money, not how to think about it. We wanted to close that gap through emotional intelligence and adaptive learning. That’s how Capiverse was born: to teach people to think financially, not just memorize formulas.

What it does

Capiverse is an AI-powered web platform that builds financial mindset through personalized learning. Guided by Capi, a friendly capybara astronaut, users explore interactive worlds, take adaptive quizzes, face real-life financial simulations, and receive feedback to strengthen their decision-making, habits, and emotional control.

How we built it

We designed the UI/UX in Figma, developed the frontend in React with CSS, and used JavaScript to manage the adaptive trivia logic. The learning flow and scoring system are powered by a prototype of the IMF (Financial Maturity Index), which tracks user progress and emotional patterns.

Challenges we ran into

Time constraints pushed us to prioritize the core experience over advanced AI features. We also faced challenges syncing design and code, and building adaptive behavior in limited time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a fully functional MVP with a beautiful interface, a strong narrative, and a mascot that connects emotionally with users. We also managed to design a learning system that feels playful but meaningful.

What we learned

We learned how powerful emotional design can be in education, how to merge storytelling with fintech learning, and how teamwork and time management are key in a 36-hour hackathon.

What's next for Capiverse

We plan to connect a IMF system to a real AI model that analyzes behavioral data, expand the number of worlds, and integrate challenges that simulate real financial scenarios. Capiverse will keep evolving to make financial learning human, adaptive, and fun.
