Inspiration

Our team was inspired by both the UI of Capital One and UT Dallas' Bursar websites.

What it does

Capital Whoosh is an innovative new app that helps students manage their finances .Capital Whoosh offers an efficient system where students can organize their campus finances and create budget meetings. With our user authentication system, customers can safely login to our portal where they can manage their finances, transactions, and update profile credentials. Our dynamic user interface provides for efficient user navigation and adaptability on different devices.

How we built it

Through the use of Front End programming langues, mainly HTML and CSS, we were able to create a basis for how the website will look like.

Challenges we ran into

When working on Capital Whoosh, the main challenge we ran into was properly connecting the NessieAPI to our website. Although we understood the process that was needed to be taken in order to use NessieAPI, we did not have a sufficient amount of time to completely utilize it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Since this is the first Hackathon we have ever participated, we are especially proud about the knowledge we gained throughout this experience.

What we learned

Throughout this project, we learned that this is still a lot to learn. Whether it be learning new languages or learning new concepts, this experience has taught us the importance of incorporate our pre-existing knowledge with knowledge with had just acquired.

What's next for Capital Whoosh

Capital Whoosh started as an idea to help struggling students, and it will stay that way. We aspire to be a website that will aid those who need it through the hardships they face.
