Inspiration: The inspiration behind Capital47 arose from the frustration with the inefficiencies of traditional cross-border payments. The desire to make these transactions fast, cost-effective, and transparent fueled our vision for a revolutionary solution.

What it does: Capital47 transforms cross-border payments by leveraging blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and CapitalOne's Nessie RESTful APIs. It streamlines transactions, offering speed, cost-effectiveness, and 24/7 accessibility. The platform utilizes EVM-based smart contracts on the Hedera testnet for transparency and security.

How we built it: The project's foundation includes a backend implemented in Go, utilizing CapitalOne's Nessie APIs for ACH integration. On the frontend, we built a dynamic and intuitive user interface using React. Smart contracts, deployed on the Hedera testnet, ensure a tamper-resistant transaction record.

Challenges we ran into: Navigating the complexities of blockchain technology posed a significant challenge. Integrating Go for the backend and React for the frontend required careful coordination. Regulatory considerations in the cryptocurrency space added an additional layer of complexity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We take pride in overcoming challenges and creating a solution that pioneers a new era in cross-border payments. Capital47 stands as a testament to our team's dedication, resilience, and innovation.

What we learned: Our journey involved deep dives into blockchain, cryptocurrency operations, and the intricacies of financial APIs. The experience enriched our understanding of decentralized technologies, smart contracts, and the importance of user-friendly design.

What's next for Capital47: The future holds exciting possibilities for Capital47. We aim to scale our platform, expand its reach, and potentially integrate with other blockchain networks. Continuous improvement, user feedback incorporation, and staying abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes are key aspects of our roadmap. Capital47 is poised to redefine the landscape of cross-border transactions.
