Inspiration
We were inspired to create an online service that assists young adults in stock investment because buying, selling, and trading stock aren’t skills taught within traditional schooling, but it is a widely used practice to acquire wealth. Since it can be a daunting process, we wanted to create an easier and personalized way for consumers to not only learn what stock trading is and how it works, but also how they should be doing it specific to them.
What it does
Capital Peak serves as a unique platform dedicated to empowering teenagers and young adults on their journey towards financial security. Our company strives to break down financial literacy, making it accessible and engaging for the younger generation. The platform offers fundamental investing tips to help users understand and navigate the world of investing. Furthermore, the website is designed to deliver personalized advice tailored to each individual’s unique financial aspirations.
How we built it
To build Capital Peak, we utilized multiple different platforms, including Canva and Figma to create the logo and website design, as well as Python, Visual Studio Code, HTML, and CSS to construct the website.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges implementing the AI chat box, which used to help consumers figure out what the best course of action is for buying and trading, as well as transforming our demo design into functioning code. We also encountered challenges with the design of the website as we wanted to showcase an interface that was both user-friendly and captivating to the users.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of achieving a website design that functions the way we intended and fulfills our goal to assist young adults in their journey to buying, trading, and selling stock to invest in their futures. We also collaborated together and utilized everybody’s strengths to create our project in a timely manner.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate AI into our code as well as deepened our understanding of utilizing software tools/technologies such as HTML and CSS in website implementation. Beyond the technical skills we gained, we also learned about the importance of user functionality and accessibility. We wanted to make sure that our interface was user-friendly and easy to navigate.
What's next for Capital Peak
We hope to continue expanding the range and depth of educational resources to cover a broader spectrum of financial topics. Additionally, we seek to explore the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to offer more personalized advice to users. To expand the platform’s reach to a greater audience and enhance the credibility of Capital Peak, we will form partnerships with educational institutions, organizations, and financial experts. One of our most important goals is to also actively seek and incorporate user feedback to ensure Capital Peak remains responsive to the evolving needs and expectations of our intended audience.
