Inspiration
I have been looking forward to creating a sound based project with processing for quite a while. I have tried some simple shape creating tutorials before but none which intgrated multiple libraties. So I took the opportunity that this theme provided to finally implement this system that I has been spinning in my head for sometime.
What it does
It uses capacitive touch sensors to create sound and an analog input to change octaves.
How I built it
I built it using different processing libraries and srduino using the arduino firmata example.
Challenges I ran into
I had never tried processing outside it's web editor so that was the first challenge, to get used to the new environment. Next was to understand the sound library and how to make it work. I found this amazing page that helped me with most of my research.This is going to be the corner stone to all my further digital audio processing realted knowledge.
What's next for Capacitive Music Generator
Add more instrument sounds. Really looking forward to adding an acoustic sound.
