Caos al Supermercat: Streamlining Shopping

Inspiration

Frustrated by inefficient supermarket trips, we aimed to make shopping quicker and simpler.

Learning and Building

  • Planning and Optimization: We applied the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) to supermarket layouts and used the A* algorithm for route optimization.
  • HTML Frontend: We integrated our optimization logic into an existing HTML template, focusing on responsive and dynamic web components.
  • Performance and Collision Detection: Enhancements were made to keep the app smooth, and collision detection was added for realistic aisle navigation.

Challenges

Merging our algorithm with the existing HTML structure was tricky, as was ensuring collision detection didn't slow down the app.

Conclusion

"Caos al Supermercat" combines technical skills and practical application, simplifying the shopping experience with a touch of fun. It's a blend of learned theories and real-world problem-solving.
