Many digital artists lose credibility and followers on the accusations that their images are ai generated. We wanted to create a tool for digital artists in order for them to be able to give their work credibility.

With CanvasTrace, viewers can simply click a link and then verify whether the artist's work is human or ai generated.

We used VSCode to create a modern digital art interface where users can create, save, and share both their art and "passport" or certificate of authenticity

On many occasions we ran into problem with our code, whether that be with the UI or backend development. Specifically, we had to spend a lot of time tweaking the controls in order to make it easy to use and learn. We also had to work around problems when it came to saving works to accounts and running out of AI prompts.

We are very proud that we worked in a team to implement various strategies and platforms for the project to come together. We persisted even though we were faced with many bugs, and succeeded in collaborating to create a working application.

We learned the challenges that come with backend development, and the creativity required to make a UI fit for public, widespread use. We also learned to work as an effective team in order to get the job done.

In the future, we hope to improve our application, making it faster, more powerful, and more detailed. We could also in the future come up with a way to add it as an extension of existing art tools.
