Inspiration

Job seekers often struggle to understand how well their resumes match job opportunities, identify missing skills, and prepare effectively for interviews. Recruiters, meanwhile, need better ways to evaluate candidate profiles and streamline initial screening. We built Candidate360 to bring these workflows together in one AI-powered platform.

What it does

Candidate360 supports both candidates and recruiters through:

• AI Resume Optimization: Helps candidates improve their resumes for specific opportunities.
• Candidate Matching: Helps evaluate candidate profiles against job requirements.
• Skill Gap Analysis: Identifies skills that candidates may need to strengthen.
• Interview Preparation: Supports interview practice and evaluation.
• Recruiter Dashboard: Provides tools to review and assess candidate profiles.

How we built it

The platform uses React, TypeScript, and Vite for the frontend, with a Python FastAPI backend. Firebase provides authentication and database functionality. Gemini powers the existing resume optimization workflow.

For the hackathon extension, we added a Nebius Token Factory integration using an NVIDIA Nemotron model, with dedicated backend endpoints for conversational career assistance, candidate matching, skill-gap analysis, and interview support. The integration is implemented in the codebase; live Nebius inference still requires runtime configuration and verification.

Challenges and learnings

One of our main challenges was extending an existing recruitment platform without disrupting its core workflows. We worked on separating AI functionality into backend services, handling authenticated API requests, and keeping the frontend and backend modular. This helped us understand how AI models can be integrated into practical career and recruitment workflows.

What's next

We aim to validate the Nebius-powered workflows end to end, improve candidate recommendations, and make career guidance more personalized and useful.
