About the Project
Inspiration We wanted to bring the spontaneity of BeReal into live events and make audience participation more interactive and fun.
How We Built It We built Candid with a web stack that lets organizers send real-time prompts while attendees submit photos within a time limit. Submissions appear on a Pinterest-style dashboard, and AI checks whether images match the prompt.
Challenges Handling real-time prompts, verifying images reliably with AI, and designing a system that keeps submissions fair while maintaining a smooth user experience.
What We Learned We learned a lot about building real-time interactive systems, integrating AI for moderation, and designing engaging experiences for live events.
