Inspiration

The serious nature of the treatment means that not taking, incorrectly taking a drug at a specific time came have serious consequences to the patients health and at over £6,000 for the drugs alone any misuse

What it does

Keeps track of all the drugs times and dosage during chemotherapy

How I built it

Built using the Amazon Alexa Echo Software kit and using Amazon Lambda as the server-less support

Challenges I ran into

Working out how to convert the abstract dosage requirements into a way for the diary to be transmitted for voice output. The written version is long and the spoken entry must be short, so getting the wording was important. The Windows Diary had to be replaced for Windows Security problems, so AWS DynamoDB has been used to code a new set of database functions for storage and retrieval

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Designing and coding the AWS DynamoDB functions from scratch in 18 hours.

What I learned

What's next for Cancer Tablet Monitor Diary

Making the Alexa front end capable of amending the data for the drugs, which is now available in Persistent Storage AWS DynamoDB has been used to code a new set of database functions for storage and retrieval.

Well failed Certification again it appears there are still bits of the old diary CALENDAR library left in the Lambda code so probably wont go anywhere. I cannot make a video as the spoken answers from my Amazon Echo sound strange

I will leave the registration as is and continue on with Serverless Apps for social good https://serverlessrepo.devpost.com/ which does NOT require certification and is more techincal

Now using AWS DynamoDB database to hold all the information, so now supports Persistent Storage using DynamoDB Document Client to store and retrieve entries. There is now node.js code to create entries from the AWS ASK CLI

if you dont register in the UK Store. When the app goes to Certification = "In Review" you will be able to fix anything. Then goes in the live US Store, you UK registered Echo wont see this.

Even the Alexa App for Desktop browsers by going to https://alexa.amazon.co.uk/ you cannot access you app in the UK So "you" or your UK friends cannot access the "Enable Skill" box remains greyed out.

My skill went in review on 8th September for UK and UK Store. 10th September just got back my failure results which will take a long time to digest and fix. Final dates for submission in GMT (London) are :-

US Skill Store by Sep. 17th at 10PM GMT and certified in the US Skill Store by Oct. 1st at 10pm GMT So I assume we have all got this far

Got my skill back with certification failure lots to do!, but its back and I have 7 days to work on the feedback.
