What inspired us to create this project was that, because of the coronavirus, many people have been struggling with their mental health and may lack the means to create a proper support group. Not only that, but it can be difficult talking to your friends or family about certain topics, so we wanted a way for people of all ages to freely share their struggles and worries.
Going into this hackathon, we knew completely nothing about coding, so it was definitely interesting to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript languages. In addition, we also learned how to use Figma for the very first time! Using Figma, we created a prototype of our app, linking multiple buttons and actions together. After that, we took the prototype and used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to build a chatroom where you can send messages. Despite this, it proved to be difficult when we couldn't figure out how to link certain codes together, or which code to use to perform a certain action.
