CampusSpeak AI is an AI-powered presentation practice tool designed to help students improve their public speaking skills through real-time feedback. Many students struggle with presentations due to nervousness, excessive filler words, and poor speaking pace. Often, they practice alone without knowing whether their delivery is clear, confident, or engaging. CampusSpeak AI addresses this problem by acting as a personal AI speaking coach.
The platform listens to the user’s speech using the browser’s Web Speech API and converts spoken words into real-time text. It then analyzes key communication metrics such as filler word usage, speaking pace (words per minute), and an overall clarity score. Common filler words like “um”, “uh”, and “like” are detected and highlighted so users can become aware of their speaking habits.
CampusSpeak AI also calculates speaking speed and provides feedback on whether the user is speaking too fast, too slow, or at an ideal pace. Based on these metrics, the system generates an easy-to-understand clarity score that reflects the overall quality of the presentation practice.
To make the experience more interactive, the platform integrates an AI coaching assistant powered by Gemini AI. The AI coach provides personalized suggestions, encouragement, and tips to help users improve their delivery, articulation, and confidence.
Additionally, users can import presentation scripts from files such as TXT, PDF, DOCX, or PPT, and practice using a built-in teleprompter mode that tracks reading progress.
