Inspiration

College students often struggle to find suitable scholarships, keep track of attendance, and remember important deadlines. Important information is scattered across different websites and platforms, making it difficult to manage everything efficiently. We were inspired to build CampusSaathi AI, a student-focused companion that brings essential academic support into one place.

What it does

CampusSaathi AI aims to make college life easier through a simple, student-friendly platform.

Scholarship Finder: Helps students explore scholarship opportunities, eligibility criteria, income requirements, required documents, deadlines, and official application sources. Attendance Tracker: Calculates attendance percentages and helps students understand how to reach the 75% attendance target. Smart Reminders: Supports the idea of reminders for examinations, fee payments, and important deadlines. AI Assistant: Aims to provide conversational assistance and make student information easier to access, with a focus on English and Hindi voice interaction.

How we built it

We developed CampusSaathi AI as a web-based project, focusing on a clean interface and practical features for students. The frontend uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while structured JSON data helps organize scholarship information.

We designed the platform around common student needs, including scholarship discovery and attendance calculation. Our approach emphasizes simplicity, accessibility, and links to official information sources so students can verify important details.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was bringing multiple student needs together in a single, easy-to-use interface. Organizing scholarship information consistently and ensuring that students can identify official sources also required careful attention.

As beginners, we also had to learn new development tools and coordinate different parts of the project. We approached these challenges by breaking the work into smaller tasks and prioritizing the features most useful to students.
