Engineering students often struggle to manage assignments, examination preparation, project deadlines, and daily study schedules. Switching between different tools makes it difficult to stay organized and adapt when priorities change.

CampusPilot AI is designed to address this problem through an intelligent, action-taking study assistant that helps students turn their academic workload into a manageable plan.

🚀 What It Does

CampusPilot AI aims to provide a personalized assistant that can:

Manage assignments: Create, view, update, and complete academic tasks using natural-language requests.
Plan study sessions: Generate study schedules based on deadlines, available time, and priorities.
Understand context: Use saved tasks and previous interactions to provide more relevant assistance.
Adapt to changes: Update a study plan when tasks are completed or priorities change.
Execute actions: Use defined tools to make validated changes to task records rather than simply generating text.

🛠️ How We Plan to Build It

The project uses Python and Flask for the backend, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the user interface, and SQLite for persistent task storage. An AI model will interpret user requests and select appropriate tools to perform supported actions.

The application is designed as a simulated Alexa+ web experience, demonstrating how a conversational assistant can understand requests, coordinate actions, preserve context, and communicate results through a user-friendly interface.

Rather than functioning as a basic question-and-answer chatbot, CampusPilot AI focuses on completing useful tasks. Its goal is to connect natural-language understanding with real application actions, contextual study planning, and reliable task management.

Key challenges include interpreting natural-language requests accurately, validating AI-generated actions, maintaining context between interactions, handling invalid inputs, and keeping saved task information consistent.

Through this project, we aim to gain practical experience in AI agent workflows, tool calling, backend integration, database management, and designing a useful AI-powered product.
