CampusKart is a web-based marketplace designed specifically for college campuses, where students can buy, sell, and exchange items such as books, electronics, stationery, and daily-use essentials. The platform aims to solve the common problem of students struggling to find affordable second-hand items or buyers within their campus.
Unlike general e-commerce platforms, CampusKart focuses on a closed campus community, making transactions faster, safer, and more reliable. Students can list items easily, browse available products by category, and connect directly with sellers. This reduces unnecessary spending, promotes reuse, and helps build a collaborative campus ecosystem.
The project is built using Django for backend logic and database management, with a simple HTML-CSS frontend for user interaction. CampusKart is scalable and can be extended with features such as in-app messaging, location-based search, authentication, and secure payments in the future.
