Inspiration

Indian college students juggle academics, deadlines, mental stress, and career preparation every day — often using multiple disconnected tools. Many students struggle with time management, focus, and access to simple AI-powered help tailored for Bharat.

This inspired us to build CampusCopilot AI — a single, student-first AI assistant designed to simplify everyday student life in India.

What it does

CampusCopilot AI is an AI-powered assistant that helps students:

  • Plan their daily study schedules intelligently
  • Summarize notes, PDFs, and learning material
  • Manage assignments, exams, and reminders
  • Improve productivity and focus
  • Support mental well-being through simple check-ins
  • Assist with general campus-life queries

The goal is to make learning and student life simpler, smarter, and less stressful.

How we built it

The project was ideated and structured using Kiro, an agentic IDE, to plan features, workflows, and UI structure.
The frontend prototype was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with assistance from GitHub Copilot to accelerate development.

The focus was on clarity, simplicity, and an India-first approach rather than over-complex AI systems.

Challenges we faced

  • Designing a solution that remains useful even with limited resources
  • Keeping the interface simple and student-friendly
  • Balancing productivity and wellness features in one platform

What we learned

  • AI tools can significantly reduce friction in everyday student tasks
  • Clear problem understanding is more important than complex technology
  • Student-centric design leads to more impactful solutions

What's next

  • Integrating real AI APIs (LLMs)
  • Adding multilingual support for Indian languages
  • Expanding to a mobile-first experience
  • Partnering with colleges for real-world testing
