Inspiration

Inspired by the daily conundrum "What should I eat today?" we created Campus Plate to tackle decision fatigue for students and staff. The app is a testament to convenience, nutrition, and personalized dining experiences on campus.

What it does

Campus Plate offers tailored meal suggestions based on individual dietary preferences and nutritional goals. It simplifies meal selection, incorporating campus dining options with a smart algorithm to suggest the best meals for you.

How we built it

We harnessed the power of Next.js for a reactive frontend and integrated Auth0 for secure authentication.

Challenges we ran into

Navigating the complexity of diverse dietary needs and preferences was challenging. We also worked hard to ensure that user authentication was both secure and user-friendly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating an inclusive app that caters to a wide array of dietary restrictions and preferences. Our app's intuitive UI and robust backend are also key accomplishments.

What we learned

We deepened our understanding of Next.js and server-side rendering, and we learned the importance of building with accessibility and inclusivity in mind.

What's next for Campus Plate

We plan to incorporate AI to enhance meal recommendations and integrate with campus point-of-sale systems for a streamlined dining experience.
