Inspiration
Tier 3 college students often lack access to strong tech communities, mentorship, and structured guidance. We aimed to solve this by building CampusConnect — a platform that bridges the gap between students, seniors, and alumni, fostering growth, upskilling, and networking within college ecosystems.
What it does
CampusConnect empowers students by providing:
A dynamic, personalized tech roadmap generator (beginner to advanced)
A chatbot for real-time doubt resolution
A CP leaderboard to gamify learning
Live updates on tech events and hackathons
Analytics tools for placement cells to assess students beyond academics
How we built it
We used React.js with efficient state management for a seamless UI/UX, Node.js/Express for the backend, and Firebase for real-time data sync and authentication. The roadmap engine is modular and extensible, while the chatbot is powered by NLP for intelligent query handling.
Challenges we ran into
Building a scalable roadmap engine adaptable to diverse learning paths Integrating real-time updates and chatbot responses without performance lags Ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices Coordinating collaboration among three different colleges in limited time

What's next for Campus Connect
I aim to: Onboard more colleges, especially Tier 2 and Tier 3 institutions Integrate AI-driven personalized learning suggestions Launch Android/iOS apps for better accessibility Partner with tech companies to offer internships and mentorship through the platform
