Inspiration
Many students struggle to buy expensive textbooks every semester. We wanted to create a platform that makes educational resources more accessible and affordable. Campus Book Bank was inspired by the idea of sharing books within a college community so that students can focus on learning instead of worrying about costs.
What it does
Campus Book Bank is a web-based platform that allows students to borrow, return, and manage textbooks online. It provides separate portals for students and administrators, tracks book availability, manages issue and return records, calculates fines, and helps students find the books they need easily.
How we built it
We built the project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. The interface was designed to be responsive and user-friendly. The system includes student and admin dashboards, book management features, and a clean modern UI for smooth navigation.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the main challenges included designing an intuitive user interface, managing book issue and return workflows, handling data efficiently, and ensuring the platform worked smoothly across different devices and screen sizes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Developed a complete book bank management system.
- Created separate student and admin portals.
- Built a responsive and modern user interface.
- Simplified textbook borrowing and tracking.
- Delivered a functional prototype within the project timeline.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned about web development, UI/UX design, project planning, teamwork, and solving real-world problems using technology. We also gained experience in designing systems that improve accessibility and resource sharing.
