Inspiration

Managing campus life can be overwhelming for students. Information about classes, assignments, events, attendance, and campus services is often scattered across multiple platforms. This inspired us to build Campus AI, a smart platform that centralizes all important student activities into one intelligent dashboard.

Our goal was to create a system that not only organizes academic tasks but also provides AI-powered assistance to help students study more effectively and stay productive.


What it does

Campus AI is a smart campus management and productivity platform designed specifically for students.

The platform provides:

  • AI Study Buddy to help students with academic questions and learning support.
  • Study Planner to organize daily study schedules.
  • Assignment & Deadline Tracking to prevent missed submissions.
  • Attendance Monitoring for better academic awareness.
  • Campus Services Integration including events, transport, mess & food, and lost & found.
  • Performance Metrics Dashboard to visualize study progress.

All of these features are presented through a clean and interactive dashboard that simplifies student life.


How we built it

The project was built using modern web development technologies.

Frontend

  • React.js for building the interactive dashboard UI.

Backend

  • Node.js for handling application logic and APIs.

AI Integration

  • Google Gemini API for powering the AI Study Buddy and intelligent responses.

Design Approach

  • Focused on a minimal, modern, and user-friendly interface so students can easily navigate the platform.

Challenges we faced

During development, we encountered several challenges:

  • Integrating AI functionality effectively with the student workflow.
  • Designing a clean dashboard UI that displays many features without overwhelming users.
  • Structuring different campus services into a single centralized system.
  • Managing time constraints during the hackathon.

These challenges helped us learn how to prioritize features, debug efficiently, and collaborate effectively.
