"Camp N’ Chill is inspired by the nostalgia of my childhood. Those carefree days spent outdoors, camping, exploring, and feeling completely at peace in nature. That was my happy place, and it’s a feeling I’ve always carried with me. I wanted to capture that magic and share it with the community, creating a space that brings people together and reminds them of the simple, joyful moments that often mean the most. It’s not just a virtual world, it’s a place to reconnect, to escape, and to find a little piece of that nostalgia we all hold onto. The heart and meaning are what makes Camp N’ Chill truly special".

What it does

“In my camping inspired world, you can gather with your favorite people for endless adventures. Chill by the campfire with music, dive into thrilling games, or let your imagination run wild to create unforgettable memories together. It’s a space built for connection, creativity, and the pure joy of just being together. The fun starts wherever your imagination takes you.”

How we built it

"I originally built this world to promote a set of cabins I came across online, but something unexpected happened, it became a go-to spot for the community to gather and celebrate. Seeing how much people loved it, I decided to completely revamp the space. I transformed it into a fully immersive social hub, designed for hanging out with friends, hosting virtual parties, and creating unforgettable moments together. The inspiration comes from my own childhood. Growing up, I loved spending time outdoors, camping, exploring, and connecting with nature. It was my happy place, and I realized there aren’t many spaces like that in Horizon Worlds. So, I wanted to bring those feel-good, nostalgic vibes to life, a place where you can escape, unwind, and just enjoy being with the people who matter most. It’s more than a world; it’s a celebration of connection and creativity".

Challenges we ran into

"One of the biggest challenges I faced while creating this world came down to space, literally. As a 3D animator in real life, I’m used to having unlimited creative freedom to bring my ideas to life. But building in Horizon Worlds is different. My models and artistic vision were so detailed and intricate that I kept running into space limitations. It pushed me to think outside the box and find clever ways to simplify without losing the magic I wanted to create. In the end, it was all worth it, and those challenges actually helped me refine the world into what it is now, a rich, immersive space that’s as beautiful as it is functional. It’s proof that creativity can flourish, even when you have to improvise along the way".

Accomplishments that we're proud of

"One of the accomplishments I'm most proud of is being the very first person to create a realistic world in the Meta Horizon Worlds back in 2021. It was groundbreaking at the time, and it paved the way for what’s possible in virtual spaces. Seeing how it inspired others to push the boundaries of creativity has been such an incredible experience".

“Beyond that, I’m proud of how my world became more than just a well-designed space. It turned into a place where people truly come alive. Whether it’s connecting with friends, hosting events, or just exploring, the world became something bigger than I ever imagined. It’s rewarding to know that my creativity helped build a space that people genuinely love and feel inspired by. Those moments of connection, joy, and shared experiences, that’s what I consider my biggest accomplishment".

What we learned

"Through this journey, I learned the true value of resilience, creativity, and adaptability. Building something meaningful isn’t always easy. You face challenges, setbacks, and moments where you have to rethink everything. But what I discovered is that those moments can spark your greatest ideas. I learned how to make the most of limitations, how to embrace imperfections, and, most importantly, how to create a world that brings people together in a way that feels real, joyful, and full of possibility. It’s not just about creating a virtual space, it’s about building something that leaves an impact, something that people can connect with on a deeper level. That’s what this process taught me, and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life".
