As students in college, it can be a burden to stay fit while balancing work with homework as well as a healthy lifestyle.
The calorie counter is an efficient and reliable resource for when cooking meals and creating recipes. It is a chrome extension that provides the number of calories of any quantity of food in seconds.
We built the project using JavaScript, Nutritionix API, HTML, and JSON. One challenge that we faced was deciding which API would have the most accurate data.
An accomplishment that we are proud of is having a well balanced front-end and back-end application for the chrome extension that makes it highly developed and user-friendly.
We learned how to efficiently incorporate API with JSON and JavaScript to leverage the functionality and development of the chrome extension tool.
Calorie Counter's next goal is to include healthy alternatives suggestions and incorporate artificial intelligence so that the extension can be more personally and individually applicable.
