Inspiration

Medication has been considered to be part of middle or higher-middle-class luxury. Finding a personal guide or even using a mobile or website app has been costly and out of the reach of billions of people. For the last few decades, widespread global news has added stress to everyone which makes medication more necessary than luxury. The emergence of Large Language Models like chatgpt makes it possible to make a free meditation app for all.

What it does

Calmify is an app that guides people in their meditation journey. They pick one method and they can either listen to the steps or read each step. Free medication guide accessible for all.

How I built it

I used Figma to build a simple clickable prototype of Calmify. Try to make it super simple and also the colors used in the prototype match the calm theme of the app. I also use chatgpt for the guides.

Challenges I ran into

I recently found devpost. I did not have time to find teammates or put lots of time solo on this project. Picking suitable color palettes is also always a great challenge for any prototype. I tried to use different types of sky colors as my inspiration which gave everyone a sense of calmness. I am not a meditation expert so I use chatgpt to give me the guide for meditation methods used in the prototype.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of the idea I put. At first, does not look like an accessibility problem. If you look deeper you can see how huge the problem is. Second, in the prototype, I added users can listen and read the guide. Make the app more usable and more accessible. Third, I love the color palette choice and minimalistic design making it more accessible.

What I learned

1- Making the prototype scrollable in Figma 2- Deliver a prototype in a small amount of time. 3- Create a prototype from an idea, make it live, and avoid perfectionism.

What's next for Calmify

Making IOS and Android apps is the next step for Camify.
