Inspiration
Inspired by the true difficulity I once faced for finding suitable noice to block the environment noise.
What it does
It combines background pink-ish noise with slow breathing and a generative abstract visual, both responding to typing cadence.
How we built it
We first decided the technology stack and rough framework for our project by ourselves. Coding part is mainly through cursor. We adjusted the parameters by ourselves.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest problem was not realizing in advance that we can’t keep listening for keyboard input when the page is hidden or out of focus, which disrupted our core functionality. As a result, we only decided later to switch from building a website to building an application. We’re not familiar with this field, so we can only try to preserve the essential features of the MVP.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's the first application project we launched, and seems like nobody has done it before. Although there's technical difficulities, we are proud of our idea.
What we learned
We gain more understanding about Electron which helped us transforming from a webpage to an application, and Vite, which helped us building website. We know more about git corporation as well.
What's next for Calm flow
We will continue trouble shoot it until it reaches our original goal. It could be better if we can hear some advise from skandalaris.
