Emily is an Author of Brotopia: Breaking Up the Boys’ Club of Silicon Valley talks on the endemic gender bias at big tech companies, startups, especially in Silicon Valley. Coverage of the book BROTOPIA ran in The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, San Francisco Chronicle, Financial Times, TechCrunch, and The Verge. What it does
The solution that we found is to CREATE A GLOBAL COMMUNITY OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS LEADERS AND TRAIN THEM ON WEB 3.0 "Calling all WOMEN Entrepreneur NEAR" Create 3 communities with the aim of training WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS in NEAR PROTOCOL in order to discover or promote projects made by WOMEN that create a real impact and are quantifiable in the WEB 3.0 ecosystem. We follow these 3 steps for the executions:
- CREATE STRONG COMMUNITIES CONNECTED
A. Calling all WOMEN Entrepreneurs NEAR
- WOMEN Owners or decision-makers of Startups or Companies who speak English or Spanish like Fashion Bloggers, Models, Actress, Coaches, Psychologists, Women artists, Women Influencers, Journalists, Women entrepreneurs, and those who are into innovation.
- WOMEN Students who want to learn about WEB 3.0

"NEAR WOMEN LEADERS" This community will be made up of a strong community of WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR READY TO RECEIVE EXPOSURE AND FUNDING, whose selection will be made using HUMAN ALGORITHMS and ALEATORIES by TIME and QUANTITIES of active community members (THE TRUE ALGORITHM), in such a way that we minimize favoritism or dislikes loaded with BIAS to admit the new SELECTED WOMEN to belong to that community that we will promote so that they receive support and it will be a Smart Contract that will accept them automatically following the indications of the algorithm.

WE WILL CREATE MODULAR COURSES IN SPANISH FOR BUSINESSWOMEN WHO ARE NOT DEVELOPERS TO BECOME WEB 3.0 DEVELOPERS THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF BLOCKCHAIN PERU AND NEAR HISPANO WHO HAS THE EDUCATION GUILD AT NEAR. There are almost no female Blockchain developers. On the other hand, in NEAR between Analyst Certification and Developer 1 Certification, there are no intermediate courses so non-developers can not become web 3.0 developers if they want to. We think that is necessary that Women entrepreneurs can learn to develop their own applications in Rust or adapt their companies or Startups to this technology so that they do not depend on developers who are only a few and they can advance by themselves independently.
We propose modular courses, that is, short courses that can be taken independently, as if it were a puzzle, but together they are the preparation and requirements of the previous knowledge for the developer certifications 1 and 2 and the future ones that NEAR creates. For example, a course could be taught How to formulate algorithms in Rust to be developed in Smart Contracts, because one thing is to write how they work and another to formulate them in a programming language.
- TRUE ALGORITHM (CHOOSE FAIRER, REDUCING BIAS) TRUE ALGORITHM, HOW DOES IT’S WORKS? It is a VOTING ALGORITHM TO MAKE THE SMART CONTRACT to admit new VALIDATORS in the DAO of "NEAR WOMEN LEADERS" that we want to create in the near future when we know the legal and accounting requirements to be able to do.
TRUE ALGORITHM: It always works with 50% +1 of the votes of the WOMEN MEMBERS who saw the profile in a maximum of 7 days of the applicant to be a new member. The proposal is that this system works in an automated way with a minimum approval of 2 members NECESSARILY WOMEN and BOTH ALREADY ACCEPTED AS VALIDATORS in a maximum period of 7 days. We start the Smart Contract with 2 WOMEN FOUNDERS, if the 2 agree to admit the new Member we have 100% approval of the 2 Initial Founders and the new member enters THE GROUP OF "NEAR WOMEN LEADERS" READY TO RECOMMEND THEM TO RECEIVE FUNDING.
The algorithm always works with 50% +1, that is, after admitting that third person, to admit a new member at least 2 of the 3 have to agree, so, 66% of that new 100% who are 3 members, and if then we have 4 members, we need 3 members of the 4 to agree, and then 3 of the 5 and then 4 of the 6 and so on to infinity (however it is 50% + 1 of the total amount of members who VIEWED the profile in less than 7 days). The initial period is one week as a maximum term to VALIDATE a new member if any of the members did not see the profile of the person to be validated, it is assumed by DEFAULT THAT THEY AGREE, but it is necessary that at least 2 PEOPLE HAVE SEEN AND VALIDATED TO THE NEW MEMBER OTHERWISE SHE PASSES TO THE QUEUE FOR THE NEXT WEEK or is denied entry if She does not reach 50% + 1 of the members who saw his profile and approved it, in such a way that our community is always active if you want to exercise your right to vote.
New members Should be registered on a landing page if they want to be VALIDATED and all WOMEN members of the community NEAR WOMEN LEADERS will receive these registrations and will be able 1to vote by clicking accept or reject this with the intention of training women to develop a future DAO and creating a kind of MINI BLOCKCHAIN OF WOMEN VALIDATORS OF OTHER WOMEN TO EMPOWER and using a mixed algorithm: the subjective human and the automated one since it is practically random that members can admit or reject new members, minimizing the problem of favoritism not because of merit but because they have common interests or is a family member or friend. This also helps minimize member inactivity. In the near future, the "NEAR WOMEN" Tokens will be given as rewards to those who validate or reject because participation in the validation is rewarded, not based on their final choice, and if the new member was accepted or rejected, all those who voted and got the prediction right will receive an extra reward. . As it is an automated mechanism, accepted members will not be affected by the validation by Cancellation Culture or other subjective BIAS by members of future communities since their entry was democratic and also random, while what happens in the future we do not know if it will be by imposition or personal BIAS of the future members. Our Community assumes the risk to fail to choose the right women all the time and we prefer this instead apply the Cancel culture on WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS due to political, racial, religious, cultural positions, or any type of discrimination that has nothing to do with their merit and talent.
How we built it
So far in our TELEGRAM: https://t.me/MeritocracyWomen we have more than 65 CEOs & Founders and they have their own communities as well and they don't know about WEB3 but the important thing is that they want to be educated in that. So we are building and strengthening the community and we'll educate them. We know that this is a medium and long-term job because Evangelization in Web3 takes time. But the positive is that, since it is new to almost everyone, the chances of being able to lead WEB3 are greater at this time of adoption than when they become widespread. So we are at the right time with the right people.
Challenges we ran into
EDUCATION IN BLOCKCHAIN: The main challenge is to break the mental barrier and STEREOTYPE both in the WOMAN herself and in the investors that make companies and Startups scalable that a WOMAN DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME CAPACITY TO MANAGE A GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY and that She CAN NOT compete on an equal position if She educates herself and works very hard against Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, etc. If She wants to.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We just started this January and we already have on board to help us solve this INEQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN WITH EDUCATION IN WEB 3 the President of the Blockchain Association of Peru, Fab Lab Peru, Fab Woman, the Center for Innovation and Accelerator of one of the best universities in Peru CIDE-PUCP, to the Association of Creative and Cultural Industries of Peru: "AsiCrea Peru" to the NGO Tierra and being that it has helped more than 7 million Peruvians and MyCred Top5 in WordPress among other personalities which in turn have their own communities.
Having all these prestigious INSTITUTIONS, NGOs, ASSOCIATIONS, and INNOVATION CENTERS on board to help us solve this problem that harms ALL of us and directly affects 50% of the world population: WOMEN and only 1 month after starting that these leaders of the institutions actively participate in our Telegram community and coordinate with us internally, the truth is that it stimulates us and helps us all find concrete solutions.
What we learned
We learned that the fundamental thing to achieve a global paradigm shift is to build a strong community in this case of WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS and educate them on the WEB3. Without education, everything will remain in good intentions, but a real change is generated educating them in that way they will be able to build their future in the future technology WEB3.

The next thing is to win this Hackathon and get the approval to create the courses as a part of NEAR University to WOMEN NOT DEVELOPERS and then develop Smart Contract to help us execute this algorithm and call accountants and lawyers to help us with the legal issues to create the WOMEN'S NEAR DAO FOR ENTREPRENEURS
