My highschool, Lowell High, is the only academically selective public school in the San Francisco. The pressure there is intense, the competition is real, and I watched students who worked just as hard as anyone else get passed over during college admissions simply because they did not have access to the right guidance. Private counselors, personalized strategies, structured timelines. Those things exist, but most students cannot afford them.

So I built Callidus. It is an AI-powered college planning platform that gives every student the same level of preparation that used to cost hundreds of dollars per hour. The platform connects scholarships, college research, essay writing, portfolio tracking, monthly planning, and a personal AI counselor into one place, all driven by a single profile that powers every feature simultaneously. It runs on Node.js, MongoDB Atlas, and LLaMA 3.3 through Groq. Every scholarship is matched in real time by AI reasoning about your actual GPA, major, and interests. Every monthly plan is built around your specific graduation year and dream schools. And Gale, the built-in AI counselor, remembers every conversation you have ever had with it so you never have to start from scratch. I built this because I lived this problem, and I knew that if students at one of the most competitive schools in California were struggling to find guidance, students everywhere were too.
