Call of Office: The Salaryman's Untimely Demise Simulator

So, what is this?

Let's be real, corporate life is basically a survival horror game, but with more passive-aggressive emails. So, for this Hackathon, I decided to make it official. Call of Office is my chaotic attempt to gamify the soul-crushing despair of a 9-to-5. You're not fighting dragons; you're fighting printers, pointless meetings, and the ever-present threat of your SAN meter hitting zero because someone microwaved fish in the breakroom again. This whole thing is a slightly unhinged love letter to the Y2K/pixel art aesthetic, built with pure, unadulterated Vanilla JS because, honestly, my attempt to convert it to React with 43 minutes left on the clock was a glorious disaster (a story for another time).

How To Survive (Immediately)

Click "WORK!": Fill your daily progress bar before the day ends. But careful, every click drains your HP, SAN, and fills your STRESS meter. Survive Random Events: Will you risk getting food poisoning from the mystery donuts in the breakroom? Will you tell your boss what you really think? Your choices matter. Collect Your Severance Pay: When you inevitably vanish from earth online (and you will), you collect severance pay. Use it in the "Afterlife Commissary" to buy permanent upgrades for your next miserable life. Unlock the Encyclopedia Wiki: There are over 20 unique ways to vanish, from "Carpal Tunnel Catastrophe" to "Reply-All Apocalypse". Collect them all! It's fun! (It's not).
