Inspiration

The dream was simple: I always wanted to make my absolute perfect song—one I'd never get tired of. The Chroma Awards Hackathon showed me this was possible! I didn't just generate the amazing music; I also created a full video that perfectly captures the song's mood and spirit. This project is my ultimate artistic vision brought to life.

What it does

"Call me Ms.Greedy" tells the powerful story of a woman who was a good wife, but gets kicked out after her husband finds someone new. This turning point forces her into a journey of self-discovery. She starts living life on her own terms and chasing her desires, which ultimately helps her discover her true passion and calling.

How we built it

This project was a collaboration between my storyline and some powerful AI generative tools:

  • The Music: The audio for "Call me Ms.Greedy" was made using Minimax Music-2.0. I used a specific, detailed prompt—rock, smooth, and broody—to get that timeless beat that keeps playing in my head.

  • The Pictures: I took the story's script and created detailed prompts for IMAGEFX to generate all the sharp, HD quality pictures that i would use as frames for the video.

  • The Video Clips: I used FLOW and VEO3.1 (in Fast mode) to turn those pictures into smooth video clips. I often used the "first frame to last frame" technique, and the Extend feature helped VEO remember what happened in the clip before, keeping the whole video looking consistent.

  • The Final Polish: All the clip adjustments and final editing were done in Shotcut.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into a small but tricky technical issue. When the AI tool (VEO3) generated the video clips, we had to precisely trim the last one second of each clip to make sure it blended perfectly with the next one.

  • Learning Moment: I started out deleting frames one by one (which was so tedious!). Luckily, I soon figured out the simple one-second trim was the answer, and from then on, the editing process was much easier and smoother.

✨ Accomplishments We're Proud Of: The Storytelling Win

The moment I cherish most was successfully telling a complete, powerful story that works perfectly in both the song and the video. Being able to articulate the narrative in such an interesting and enjoyable way was the happiest part of this process.

What we learned

What I learned most is that becoming a professional in any craft takes real time and dedicated effort. I have huge respect for the entire creative community who have spent years specializing and perfecting their skills!
