The problem CALL-FARM solves Traditional smart irrigation systems don't take into the real world problem that. Many farmers either don't have access to smart phones or don't know how to use modern dashboards and Android Apps.
Our Model solves just this issue. By utilizing a GSM module. Which allows us to operate this device with even a simple keypad phone.
We can control functions like Turning the Water Pump on and off, Switching between Manual and Auto Modes, retrieving sensor data directly in our phone messages.
Onboard buttons on this device also gives a greater manual control over the device.
Even if one decides to use the dashboard app. We assist people by adding the ability to switch to their preferred language.
Challenges we ran into Like every prototypes and projects, We definitely ran into some hurdles. A few notable ones are :- a. We faced trouble integrating the multilingual aspect to the dashboard web app. b. We fixed the malfunctioning push buttons by adding delay in ms. c. We are still looking into ways of integrating the IVR in the Calling aspect of our device.
