Inspiration

Our inspiration to make this project was that there weren't any websites that would give users a sufficient amount of information related to COVID-19. This gave us the opportunity to create a website that allowed users to find links to helpful resources (ex. COVID-19 vaccination locator).

What it does

Our website has a very user-friendly interface which allows users to use the navigation bar to easily switch through the different pages of vaccines, testing, quarantining, reopening, and mental health. Each page has information and additional links that provides users with information that they may or may not have known before.

How we built it

We started out in HTML, we used Bootstrap as a boilerplate for our navigation bar. We then added text, added images, added the desired links to text, etc. We built it by splitting up the work, each coding individually and helping each other out when needed.

Challenges we ran into

As novice programmers, we had issues such as Syntax, and learning how to do complicated Javascript code. We also needed to learn some CSS.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud that we made a functioning, working website that looks professional!

What we learned

We learned about overriding the color among other things after the default style was set for that program. Additionally, some members on our team attended their first hackathon! So they learned how a hackathon works!

What's next for California Revival (COVID Relief Center)

Here at California Revival, we believe that users deserve the best and most current information. So as more information related to COVID-19 comes out, we will add it to this website as well as any more ways to deal with mental health during these times. We also plan on coming out with monthly newsletters.
