About the Project
Inspiration
The Calendar App was inspired by the need for a simple yet efficient tool to manage daily tasks and events. We wanted to create an intuitive, visually appealing application accessible to users with diverse scheduling needs.
What We Learned
We deepened our understanding of React, component-based architecture, and state management throughout the development process. We also gained experience in implementing responsive design to ensure the app works seamlessly across devices.
How We Built It
The app was built using React for the front end, leveraging its powerful component-based system to create reusable and dynamic UI elements. We used CSS for styling, ensuring a clean and modern look.
Challenges We Faced
One of the biggest challenges we faced was managing dynamic event updates while ensuring a smooth and seamless user experience. Navigating issues with component states and re-renders allowed us to sharpen our problem-solving skills and deepen our understanding of React. Additionally, creating a responsive design that maintained visual consistency across different screen sizes proved to be a learning curve. While we couldn’t implement all the features we envisioned due to our beginner experience, this project gave us invaluable insights and a strong foundation for future development.
Future Improvements
In the future, we aim to add features like event notifications, calendar integrations (Google Calendar), and recurring events to make the app even more robust and versatile.
