Inspiration

Most calculator sites are bloated with ads, require accounts, or bury the tool under walls of SEO filler text. CalcRapid was built to fix that — fast-loading, clean, and straight to the point.

What it does

CalcRapid provides free, easy-to-use calculators for common everyday math: finance, health, percentages, and more. Each calculator is purpose- built for clarity and speed.

How I built it

Built with Next.js and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, and deployed via Vercel with an Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline. The focus was on performance-first design — the site scores 100/100 on Google PageSpeed for mobile and desktop

Challenges

Balancing clean UI with enough on-page content for SEO without cluttering the user experience.

What I learned

That a perfect Lighthouse score is achievable with disciplined use of static rendering and minimal dependencies.
