I was inspired by my experiences with step-parents who, acting apart from each other, would both say they acted in the interests of the family, but secretly hid their financial agenda and interests away from the prerogatives of the family. My idea is to use social networking to build fiduciary ties between individuals where expenses and assets are viewable. Expenses and assets are also not just scalar amounts but streams that are paid over time. When a user decides to connect with others, they effectively earn discounts on their expenses since these expenses are then paid out over a longer period of time.
The balances between streams in the network are directed by a network flow algorithm so that streams are paid off in intervals reflecting the interests of the network as a whole.
