Inspiration
Actual experience from working in healthcare sector, specifically in nursing. Language barriers can become a critical problem in healthcare because of the loss of information causing incorrect treatment or care.
What it does
As an app Caire provides realtime translation bidirectional for both patient and care provider; based on the audio the most relevant insights are gathered and collected into medical validated reports and documentation powered by AI.
How we built it
For the frontend we used Flutter to have a device flexible user interface. The backbone of the app is a flask-app created with Python combining multiple AI models including AZURE for translation & speech recognition, OpenAI models supported by medical data for evaluation of information and Tundralabs libraries for text-to-speech capabilities.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a fully functional product even with a clean aesthetic, that actually can be used in a practical setting within the short timeframe available including combining many different AI models and libraries to have best combination of features.
