How it works

Farmers create profiles of themselves in order to 'brand' their product and have access to a reliable source of market statistics and receive a fair trade for their crop. At the other end consumers can access the farmers' profiles when they scan the code attached to their morning coffee.

Challenges I ran into

Linking data bases. Live updated financial information.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This app brings people to a new level of consciousness because it makes them feel good about the coffee choices they make every morning at their local coffee shop. They know that they are supporting a family at the other end of the spectrum.

What I learned

Sometimes it takes a long time for a team to reach a concise idea.

What's next for Cafetera

After a market research expand to other crops with high consumption around the world.
