Inspiration
I was simply inspired by how interesting ciphers are and wanted to test my knowledge at building websites for this project.
What it does
It asks the user for some text and a shift number and decrypts it or encrypts it.
How we built it
I used Github's codespace to build up the code for the HTML, CSS, and Javascript portion of the code. From there, I used Github pages to test out the cipher and see how it looked as a website.
Challenges we ran into
I've never learned CSS and I only had passing knowledge of how Javascript and HTML worked. So I had to learn how to build it. On top of that, I also had to figure out how Github repo and pages worked in general.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I say I feel accomplished with building my first actual website that runs relatively the same.
What we learned
I learned more about CSS, JavaScript, and HTML.
What's next for Caeser Cipher Website
I intend to expand it more, making it so that there are more ciphers on that website for others to use.
