Inspiration

My inspiration was recognized the disconnect between retail investors (friends and family) limited knowledge and understanding of investing and crypto. There is a huge disconnect on the use case of crypto such as Bitcoin let alone stablecoins like USDC or USDT. After recognizing that, I noticed institutions have advanced analysis tools, while retail investors navigated volatile markets with limited guidance. Existing platforms either oversimplify or overwhelm users with complexity.

Most people buy something with hopes and prayers it will go up. Key rule is to invest in what you understand and a lot of people don't understand Bitcoin, crypto at all or the markets. I'm on a mission to solve that.

What it does

This is your go to education app when it comes to learning about Bitcoin and crypto. From key insights, tools and an AI companion (coming soon), all through a gamified experience, our mission is to make learning about investing in engaging and fun.

How we built it

I primarily used Bolt.New for everything. I pulled references from Cosmos, added my own touch and taste to it along with getting ChatGPT (as my project manager) and Claude to help assist refine the code and wireframe my project. Kept it simple without complicating my process.

Challenges we ran into

From debugging, to not understand where to find certain lines in the code
specific ui capabilities not being functional but Bolt.new couldn't find a solution to fix it even after multiple tries.
Supabase was was very technical to learn especially as someone new to coding
I ran into multiple issues pushing to mobile (to get it to be the perfect way to present things) and honestly it kept breaking, having errors due to json files, or expo.dev issues.
Trying to make it look perfect was slowing me down drastically. I decided to cut that thought process completely and just get my initial MVP out so users can give me real feedback when we go into beta testing. Stuck with a web version of the app until we can get things tight when it comes to mobile.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the UI/UX to a point where I thought would take hours, took minutes. I almost broke my computer out of excitement. The simple things I tell you.

What we learned

That when in doubt, keep going no matter how hard, frustrating it gets. It stops when you stops. And because I didn't, I can say I was able to create an idea that I'm genuinely passionate and obsessed about that can help a lot people.

Also, don't let the AI think for you. Shape it with your mind and taste, elevate your thinking with it accordingly. I'm the driver while the AI is the passenger helping me with directions.

These tools are extremely powerful and can help you push your creativity to levels beyond your own imagination. You just have to go for it.
