Inspiration

When it comes to my hackathon project Cacao, it was inspired by the recent trend in the NFT market and the growing interest in DeFi lending. I saw an opportunity to merge the two and create a platform that allows users to safely lend their NFT utility while retaining access to their NFT at all times.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, I learned a lot about the complexities of NFTs, the nuances of DeFi lending, and the importance of security when it comes to handling user assets. I also gained valuable experience in building a web-based marketplace and working with various blockchain technologies.

Challenges we ran into

Building Cacao was not without its challenges. Some of the major obstacles I faced included finding a balance between usability and security, ensuring that the platform was user-friendly for all levels of experience, and implementing a reliable pricing model for the NFTs being lent.

What's next for Cacao

Despite these challenges, I am proud of what I was able to accomplish with Cacao and I believe that it has the potential to make a positive impact in the NFT and DeFi communities.
