CabinReady - AI Interview Coach for Flight Attendants

Inspiration

I got inspiration for this while searching for some of the most popular job posts in America, and what I found was crazy: people were searching for flight attendant jobs like mad, with around 90,000 people searching for that stuff. It was pretty easy to rank for according to SEO tools, so I thought, why not create a helper for them?

What it does

Cabin Ready is a simple, easy-to-use interview coach specifically for flight attendants to help them crush their interviews. It comes with real-time feedback that actually makes a difference.

How we built it

Building this was honestly pretty straightforward. I used Tavus for the AI coach, Supabase for the auth and database and Netlify for hosting. The planning was done with ChatGPT, and the prompts for execution and implementation were created using Gemini. Whenever I had doubts or got stuck, I was bouncing between Gemini and ChatGPT to solve problems.

Challenges we ran into

Since I don't have any coding experience, the biggest challenge was when I saw this video tutorial on Tavus, they shared a GitHub repo, so I used that and imported it to Bolt. But it kept syncing back every single time, whenever I reopened the Bolt app to edit the design, it would revert to the original design instead of keeping my changes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The one thing I'm really proud of is that I was able to easily achieve what I wanted with this complex build. I just wanted to create an AI avatar, and now it's actually helping people achieve what they want by giving them real feedback. Yeah, there are tons of features that can be added in the future, but for an MVP created in 4 hours, it's perfect.

What we learned

GitHub repos are tricky - if you're trying to export it through the URL and sync it, don't. Just download the repo to your desktop as a file and then import it to Bolt, otherwise it'll mess everything up. That mistake made me lose like two hours.

What's next for CabinReady - AI Interview Coach for Flight Attendants

So with Cabin Ready, what I figured out is that it can be a really good market because there's tons of demand but not many players in the space, and it's an easy market to penetrate. I think TikTok could be a really good asset for getting this to the next level and scaling it up.
