Inspired by soft, clean, and warm “Cloudy Morphism” aesthetics, C8K feels less like a tool and more like a calm, organised cooking companion. Our goal is to help users enjoy cooking by keeping it simple with a minimal, easy-to-use app that saves recipes from multiple social media platforms in one place.

What it does

C8K lets you save recipes from IG/Facebook/TikTok/Youtube/Website URLs, screenshots, taken photos, and manual input into a clean, searchable collection. It also supports:

  • Bundle add recipe: No need to open the app and paste links one by one. Just tap C8K in “Share” and tap Bundle Add in C8K to save multiple recipes at once.
  • Fridge feature: Tell the app what ingredients you have on hand, and it will intelligently suggest recipes from the saved list that you can make, minimizing food waste.
  • Effortless Meal Planning: Organize your recipes into weekly or monthly meal plans, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and other meals in a day.
  • Hands-Free Cooking Mode: A standout feature that reads recipe steps aloud and listens for voice commands like "Next," "Previous," or "Repeat." It allows you to cook without ever touching your device with messy hands.
  • AI Recipe Assistant: An integrated AI assistant that can answer cooking questions, suggest ingredient substitutions, and even modify recipes to fit your dietary needs.
  • Random pick recipe: choose a recipe from your saved list randomly when you have no idea what to eat!
  • Search recipe based on your need: Quick lazy meal? Or something with seafood and no spice? Just describe what you’re craving, and you’ll get the perfect suggestion.
  • Nutrition: View the detailed nutrition breakdown about calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber,... for every recipe.

How we built it

C8K is built with React Native/Expo and a minimalist black-and-white neumorphism-inspired UI. The backend uses a cloud database (e.g., Supabase) plus AI services orchestrated via tools like Claude Code and Rork AI for features, with RevenueCat planned for subscriptions.
