Inspiration

In a world where real human connection is harder than ever, our app is a social sandbox that lets users practice real-world conversations over text with AI companions. By giving people a safe space to learn, experiment, and get feedback, we’re not just helping them communicate better today—we’re shaping a future generation that’s more confident, empathetic, and socially skilled.

What it does

Chat with AI personas ranging from happy to upset to help practice different social scenarios. Receive feedback and insights on tone, phrasing, and emotional impact. Experiment freely without fear of judgment or social consequences. Track progress over time to build real-life communication confidence. Learn empathy.

How we built it

Workflows to provide scenarios based on: User goals or social situations (e.g., first dates, job interviews, networking events). Difficulty or confidence level, so beginners get simpler, low-pressure scenarios while advanced users can practice nuanced, tricky conversations. Persona type, so users can pick whom they want to talk to—flirty, professional, or subtly upset—to simulate different emotional contexts.

Contextual cues like setting, time of day, or conversation medium (text, chat, or eventual voice). React Native for a cross-platform mobile app experience. Custom AI personas powered by LLMs to simulate nuanced human conversation. State management & conversation history to track interactions and feedback.

First dates: Build confidence, learn playful banter, and read subtle cues. Coffee chats or networking: Improve small talk, maintain professionalism, and make meaningful connections.

Coming soon: Real-time conversations: Users will be able to chat live with AI companions in a way that mirrors actual texting or messaging apps, adding spontaneity and immediacy. Scenario branching: Conversations will evolve dynamically based on user responses, so each session feels unique and realistic.
