The GreenGrow project aims to create a user-friendly digital platform that empowers communities to participate in environmental sustainability efforts. The core idea of this project is to allow communities to take real environmental action online with this platform, bridging the gap between digital convenience and real-world environmental initiatives. The platform provides interactive map-based visualization, enables fast and convenient reporting of environmental issues, and encourages positive environmental action through an achievement system.
Project Idea
The platform is being developed as a responsive website for desktops and will feature core functions like browsing and joining local tree planting events, adopting and tracking trees, uploading photos, and exploring green spaces. It will also include community features like notifications, leaderboards, and social sharing, and importantly, will allow users to report environmental issues (such as damaged trees, illegal dumping, or poorly maintained green areas) with options to upload photos and mark locations on a map.
