Our project provides a suite of AI-powered features:

AI Agent Assistant (RAG Knowledge System + LLM chaining)

The user journey begins with an AI assistant that instantly answers questions about Sadaqah Jariyah, solar usage, and how the platform works.
Behind the scenes, the chatbot uses a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system that searches verified documents, including SDG7 targets, Waqf rulings, NEM rules, and impact formulas, before generating a response.
This ensures users receive accurate, trustworthy guidance, reducing confusion and increasing confidence in their donation decisions.

Smart Donation Prediction (Powered by Gemini AI)

Before donating, users can view a Smart Prediction panel that suggests how much energy they could donate to climb the leaderboard or how to save electricity for future contributions.
Powered by Gemini AI, the system studies solar patterns, donation history, and ranking gaps to generate personalised recommendations.
This makes the donation process feel fun, motivating, and goal-driven, encouraging users to participate more actively.

AI-Powered Area Need Detection (Sealion AI)

When the user chooses to donate, SolarAid automatically identifies the Top 5 communities most in need, such as clinics, schools, or recently flooded rural homes.
Sealion AI analyzes the dataset (population, grid status, income level, energy demand) and performs live web searches about each state’s disasters (floods, storms, outages).
By merging data and real-time events, the system pinpoints where help is most urgent. This ensures every donation reaches the right place, maximising real-world impact.

Instant Jariah Certificate + AI Thank-You Message

After a donation, users immediately receive a personalised thank-you message generated by Sealion AI, along with a downloadable digital Jariah Certificate that confirms their contribution.
The system compiles user info, donation details, and impact metrics into a beautifully formatted certificate that can be easily shared with friends or on social media.
This feature makes the experience emotionally rewarding, reinforcing the value of giving and inspiring more Malaysians to join the movement.

Project Idea

Across Malaysia, rural families still struggle with electricity cut-offs and expensive monthly bills. Meanwhile, many households with solar panels often generate more electricity than they actually use, and this excess energy typically goes unused.

Our idea started with a simple question: What if the extra electricity from one home could “power” another?

SolarAid is an AI-powered digital platform that enables Malaysians to donate their unused solar electricity to communities in need.It transforms surplus clean energy into meaningful impact by channeling it to rural schools, clinics, and low-income families facing energy insecurity. SolarAid rooted in the principles of Green Waqf and SDG7, Our platform empowers households to turn sunlight into social good -- making clean, reliable energy accessible to those who need it most while creating a continuous chain of benefit for society.
