Inspiration

Frustrated by our experiences waiting on the phone for hours to get product support and receiving impersonal, automated chat messages that barely applied to our problems, we wanted to create a streamlined platform to connect companies with customers. We built a platform called C1. Especially during this era of COVID when it is difficult and sometimes impossible to connect with companies in person, online support is essential to consumer satisfaction. C1 puts the customer first by providing an efficient and personalized way to get support directly from company representatives without frustration.

What it does

C1 offers an all-in-one spot for users to keep track of frequently used companies, view request history, schedule meetings that work for them, and seamlessly submit new requests for support. Users receive real-time updates about their status in the queue if they choose to get support ASAP, or they can schedule meetings ahead of time that fit their schedule. C1 aims to eliminate the stress and frustration associated with endless lines and automated bot responses. Our platform provides individualized assistance that prioritizes the customer.

How we built it

We built it with a web based prototyping tools called Figma. In this program, we were able to not only plan out the UI of our program but also the core of its functionality and organization.

Challenges we ran into

A significant challenge was deciding on the logical progression of actions throughout the program. Our goal was to create a platform that is easy to navigate for any type of user, so we had to think about the most intuitive structure to develop.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

There are animated GIFs for the call/chat waiting pages to keep the user entertained and hopeful as they wait. We are proud that we were able to create a nice interface that is professional and easy to use at the same time.

What we learned

We learned that it is best not to randomly paste images in the Figma program because they are likely to get lost. We also found that turning on marginal guides will block the view while designing in Figma.

What's next for C1

In the future, we want to create a website with a backend server implementation to support its user base. From there, it would be about successfully reaching out to companies and getting their service teams onboard with C1.
